ASCII Art Archive

The ‘ASCII Art Archive’ reconstructs the ‘100 most searched questions on Google in 2022’ into ASCII Art graphics. It consists of speculation and sheer obsession with the meaning of ASCII Art. The 100 symbolic questions are invisible, but users interact with others through countless searches in a digitalized society. ASCII Art plays a direct role in visualizing them.

ASCII Art is strangely similar to modern society, where everything is becoming digitalized. Each individual has no special presence in the media environment. Still, they constantly communicate with virtual things and ask questions without even realizing it. Looking at one element alone seems meaningless, but when these elements begin to interact, they are reborn as a new means of communication.

The project’s deliverables include a book, website, and poster.
